Workshops
Brenda Vance is the Instructor for this Fun and Interesting Workshop She has
been making Outstanding Pieces.
This is her First Year Teaching at the Store But her work is Fantastic! Brenda
is a lifetime Crafter. Sewing ,knitting,book binding,porcelain doll making and
needle arts are a few of the crafts she enjoys.She was a pattern tester for
leisure arts publications and her stitching and knitting appear on the covers
of serveral of their pamphlets and their books.Her love of crafting eventually
led her into the bead store where she began doing seed bead work and soon
discovered metals and began taking every class she could find . She has studied
Metal Collage and Cold Connection techniques in Arkansas and recently went to
Dallas for more advanced classes.

Workshops will
use a variety of metals and metal working techniques to create beautiful
jewelry. Tools are provided for the projects and there is no additional
materials fee. Bring your favorite beading tools.Workshops run from three to
four hours.

| Reach For The Stars Pendant and Earrings |
Beginning metal work workshop. Learn techniques of annealing,
cutting, stamping and forming metals. Students can expect to complete a brass,
copper, or nickel silver star pendant and matching earrings during the
workshop.
Bonus: Learn to make your own ear wires for your earrings.

| Be Still My Heart Pendant |
Intermediate metals workshop. We will use annealing, stamping and
texturing techniques from beginner workshops and add riveting and wire bale to
make this beautifully textured heart pendant from a combination of copper,
brass, and nickel silver.
Bonus: Learn some wire technique for making the bale.

Beginning metals workshop. Learn techniques of annealing, stamping,
texturing, using patinas, and forming metals. Students can expect to complete
a copper bracelet.
Bonus: Learn to make jump rings.

Intermediate metals workshop.Build on the annealing ,stamping and
texturing skills from beginning workshops.Add riveting and wire working
skills to complete at least one pair of earrings from copper, or brass.
